Catalina and Her Love

Catalina of Her Love-
I love you my dear beyond this time,
With an emotion beyond reason.
How I wish to be thine,
As patience endures this season.

A time to embrace, a time to refrain,
And yes, a time to love.
Yet my paper shows the tear-stain,
As I plead to above.

You're out there somewhere in this world,
I wish that I knew where.
You'd have my heart in hand to hold,
And run your fingers through my hair.

Please Father! I'm patient! I'll wait!
Please show me a glimpse of him.
I'm here, your daughter, your Cate,
But my hope begins to dim.

He of His Love-
Catalina I love you deeply,
But I don't know it yet.
I know I have real love to see,
The absence drains like a debt.

Yes you sense it too,
Of what we'll someday share.
When you love me and I love you,
A feeling of tenderest care.

I'll wait for you and you for me,
Until God's perfect time.
Though we long to wrench free,
We must await His sign.

I long also to give you my heart,
Its courage, care, and protection.
Two souls made to fit from the start,
May mock cupids bow and potion.

Both Together-
Father- please keep us, grow us,
'Til we match perfectly.
Feeling half-empty we will trust,
That halves made whole we'll be.

Yeah- kinda pathetic I know :P but I felt like writing gushy stuff, so this was a 20 minute project just now :-) hehe owell, hope you enjoyed it.

Give me your eyes

Looked down from a broken sky
Traced out by the city lights
My world from a mile high
Best seat in the house tonight
Touched down on the cold black top
Hold on for the sudden stop
Breath in the familiar shock
Of confusion and chaos
All those people going somewhere
Why have I never cared?

Chorus:
Give me your eyes for just one second
Give me your eyes so I can see
Everything that I keep missing
Give me your love for humanity
Give me your arms for the broken hearted
Ones that are far beyond my reach
Give me your heart for the ones forgotten
Give me your eyes so I can see
yeah
yeah

Step out on a busy street
See a girl and our eyes meet
Does her best to smile at me
To hide whats underneath
Theres a man just to her right
Black suit and a bright red tie
To ashamed to tell his wife
Hes out of work
Hes buying time
All those people going somewhere
Why have I never cared?

Chorus

Ive Been there a million times
A couple of million eyes
Just moving past me by
I swear I never thought that I was wrong
Well I want a second glance
So give me a second chance
To see the way you see the people all along

Chorus (x2)

What's happened to us?!

Why are we such COP-OUTS?!

By ERIC GORSKI The Associated Press

"(AP) — America remains a nation of believers, but a new survey finds most Americans don't feel their religion is the only way to eternal life — even if their faith tradition teaches otherwise.

The findings, revealed Monday in a survey of 35,000 adults, can either be taken as a positive sign of growing religious tolerance, or disturbing evidence that Americans dismiss or don't know fundamental teachings of their own faiths.

Among the more startling numbers in the survey, conducted last year by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life: 57 percent of evangelical church attenders said they believe many religions can lead to eternal life, in conflict with traditional evangelical teaching.

In all, 70 percent of Americans with a religious affiliation shared that view, and 68 percent said there is more than one true way to interpret the teachings of their own religion.

'The survey shows religion in America is, indeed, 3,000 miles wide and only three inches deep," said D. Michael Lindsay, a Rice University sociologist of religion.'"

As Scott from Air1 said: "I can only repeat what Jesus said, 'I am the way, the truth, the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

It makes me think of the fact that we are in a postmodern era where 'everything is subjective,' and 'Truth is relative.' The general standing is that, "God is the Lord of all creation- for you that is." How does that make sense? It's just a cop-out, the way people can feel good about sinning and making the wrong choices.

CANCELLED

The Foundry BBQ has been postponed to next weekend due to several families being busy/out of town with father's day celebrations etc.

Youth gathering following the BBQ will continue when the date is set for the BBQ/church service.

Thanks!

Today mom and dad are touring nursing homes for Grandma :/
I'm watching the kids :)
And I'm finishing my finals for spring term XP

Case has decided to make a 'eat or be eaten' youtube-worthy movie. He downloaded 63 pictures from flickr on his own and put up sets of dinosaurs and alligators to take pictures and videos of. He went through my music library and chose just the right song for the soundtrack. --- He's obsessing and oober detailed :-P haha. It's kind of scary how good he is with the moviemaker program and stuff with his level of reading! Dad just stood there shaking his head watching him last night :-)

I think Case wants to go to OMSI to get a few takes of the moving dinosaurs there to put in a scene, so I'll post it next week when it's finished =)
